It all started with the controversy surrounding Jeff Koons' bouquet of tulips, “offered” to Parisians. This duplicity on the part of the artist raised a number of questions for us. We wanted to initiate and help young children in the neighborhood to take ownership of their environment and interact with it. With this project, the city became a playground for sharing. By offering flowers on the walls of their city, they experimented with a different relationship to public space. A project co-created with pupils and teachers from Schiltigheim's Victor Hugo nursery school.
